The Devanagiri Series by Nishita Design pays homage to ancient, beautiful Indian scripts. The collection features abstract typographic compositions. The Devanagiri script, a compound of two Sanskrit words: Deva, meaning ‘God’ and Nagari, meaning of 'urban origin', is a descendant of the brahmi script dating back to 5th century BC.

Dramatic black and white strokes and overlaying letterforms framed in 24k gold, make each piece an exquisite work of art. With its fluid calligraphic strokes contrasted against pristine white porcelain, the Devanagiri series will add artistic flair to any dinner table.

Rendered in beautifully crafted porcelain featuring simple but incredibly striking silhouettes of the Devanagari script, each piece is a work of art in the signature contemporary heritage style of Nishita's fine tableware.

Nishita Fine Tableware is made from the highest quality porcelain and it ensures extremely high resistance to chipping and scratching. However, due to the use of gold and platinum in the dinnerware, none of the pieces are microwave or dishwasher safe. Although it is scratch and wear resistant, gold decors are not totally scratch free by virtue of their natural material properties.
